As part of our work, Tairāwhiti REAP strongly supports our communities with Early Childhood learning.
We know that the first 1000 days of a child’s life are critical to their future success, Tairāwhiti REAP support Whanau, Community Based Centres, Playgroups, Playcentres, and Kohana Reo across the Gisborne Rural and East Coast regions.
REAP support tamariki to achieve strong early learning foundations prior to kura through participating in early learning.
Engaging Priority Families (EPF) initiative works with whānau and tamariki who face challenges accessing Early Childhood Education (ECE) services. EPF coordinators also assist with transitions to ECE and Kura.
Supported Playgroup Initiative deliver early learning from Kotemāori to Potaka.
